This course validates a healthcare professional's knowledge necessary to administer vaccines according to Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Advisory Committee of Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendations for vaccine use. The individual knows ACIP immunization recommendations for ages 0 to 18 and ages 18+. This individual understands how to store and handle vaccines safely, knows strategies to increase vaccine rates, and has the skill to communicate with patients/parents about vaccines.

Earning Criteria

  • Must be a Medical Assistant (MA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Physician Assistant or other allied health professional.
  • Must pass the Immunization Certificate Course Final Assessment.
  • Complete the seven self-paced modules in this course and pass the quizzes associated with each lesson. You must complete all lessons and quizzes  before you can take the final assessment which is 100-questions. There is only one attempt allowed for the final assessment. The certificate/badge is valid for one year from the date of passing the final assessment.
