AMT's ECG Certificate Program validates an individual's skills and knowledge required for the critical tasks of administering ECGs, as well as Holter monitoring and stress testing. This individual is able to place sensors and operate the ECG machine as well as read and evaluate an ECG tracing and identify types of abnormalities. The learner is also able to describe types of artifacts, causes and how to eliminate them, as well as how medication and electrolyte disturbances affect the ECG tracing.

Must be a Medical Assistant, Qualified Allied Health professional or graduate of a Medical Assisting program with RMA or CMA

Must pass the ECG Certificate Course Final Assessment

There are 7 self paced modules in this course that contain between 1 to 5 lessons and these lessons contains an audio/visual presentation and a 5-6 question quiz. All quizzes must be completed before the final assessment can be taken. The 100 question final assessment is found in module 8 of the course. There is only 1 attempt allowed for the final assessment. The certificate/badge is valid for 5 years from date of passing the final assessment.
