The course objective is to understand the relationship between reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) as a critical factor in design, performance, cost, and sustainment. The course addresses the cross-disciplinary actions of Program Management, Systems Engineering, Test & Evaluation and both acquisition logistics and sustainment to evaluate the impact of RAM decisions. Course presents basic RAM terminology and engineering practices, and discusses current legislative and DoD policy.
