Earning Criteria

Two service learning projects that are designed around the National Youth Leadership Council standards for quality practice. Each service learning plan includes: a title; a summary of the plan; how it addresses the standards (Meaningful Service, Link to Curriculum, Reflection, Diversity, Youth Voice, Partnerships, Progress Monitoring, Duration and Intensity); how it integrates Technology; a brief commentary on each section that explains, supports, and/or defends the choice for each section.

A narrative reflection (1-2 paragraphs or equivalent) focused on how Service Learning with Technology can be applied within the learner's current and/or future role.

An annotated list of five service learning with technology plans, made by others and shared online, that are related to the content area and/or grade level the learner teaches or hopes to teach. Each annotation includes: a complete citation referencing the original plan author; a brief description of the topic(s) and major goal(s) of the service learning project (see the standards above); and a brief critique identifying how well each project addresses DPI standards for service learning.
