Earning Criteria

Hold an active, valid and unrevoked CPA license or a certificate issued by a legally constituted state authority
Pass the CFF credential exam
Complete 75-hours of forensic-related continuing professional development (CPD) or complete the AICPA’s online direct pathway consisting of 59-hours of CPD within the 5-year period preceding the date of the credential application
Attest to meeting the minimum business requirements (at least 1,000 hours of forensic experience) or academic requirements (full-time faculty, teaching two courses related to 50% of CFF content specification outline)
Member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants ("AICPA"), and subject to the AICPA's Code of Professional Conduct
To maintain the CFF credential, complete at least 20 hours of continuing professional development within the credential body of knowledge annually
