Earning Criteria

Two lesson plans that follow the ASSURE model of lesson planning (a new lesson plans or adaptation of existing lessons plans the learner created in the past).

Each lesson plan includes: a title, a description of the unit of study, & a description of the topic/primary goal(s) for the lesson plan. Each section of the ASSURE model with all related artifacts (rubrics, handouts, quizzes, worksheets, project descriptions) sections should be labeled as: Analyze; State Objectives; Select; Utilize; Require; and Evaluate. A brief commentary (1-2 paragraphs or equivalent) on each section that explains, supports, &/or defends the learner' choice for each section.

A narrative reflection (1-2 paragraphs or equivalent) focused on how the ASSURE model can be applied within the learner's current and/or future role.

An annotated list of five lesson plans, made by others and shared online, that are related to the content area and/or grade level the learner teaches/hopes to teach. Each annotation must include: a complete citation referencing the original lesson plan author; a brief description (1-2 para. or equivalent) of the topic(s) and major goal(s) of the lesson plan; & a brief critique (1-2 para. or equiv.) identifying how well each lesson plan followed/did not follow the ASSURE model of lesson planning.
