The 48h-course (28h of training) focuses on learning the military way of working to lead and manage crises (rapport management, situation tracking), how to work effectively in a staff (leadership and work techniques), methods for structured decision-making and models for "thinking in variants". The process of crisis management, the so-called "5+2" model, serves as a basis. The participants completed the 3-days course in "Crisis Management Seminar" at MIKA Command.
The participants learned to apply the Swiss Armes Forces´ "5+2" problem solution technique.
The participants achieved to lead a crisis management team applying the Swiss Armes Forces´ staff management techniques in an intense crisis management exercise
The participants learned to produce timely, well-informed decisions under pressure and fatigue. Furthermore they achieved to provide high-quality and timely contributions to the evaluation/decision process.
The participants achieved to deliver essential and concise information in a factual, convincing manner.
The participants learned to develop a media statement and effectively communicate a core message in a further interview. Furthermore they experienced a feedback from media experts on their behaviour in front of journalists and/or cameras.
