A mini-unit, incl. no fewer than 3 lesson plans, designed to teach information literacy to a stated target audience. The mini-unit must address: What is information literacy (IL)? Why is IL important in the digital world? What are the most important skills for educators & students to master related to IL? Answer must address: a variety of learning environments, incl. online; a variety of content areas; a brief explanation of the similarities/differences of skills needed for educators & learners

The mini-unit must also include: a model or framework used to learn or teach information literacy; a reflection of how the selected model or framework can help an individual develop or enhance existing information literacy skills; Some appropriate models include: Big 6; Super 3; Seven Pillars of Information Literacy; PLUS Information Skills Model; and Information Search Process.

Each of the lessons must include, at minimum: measurable learning objectives; formative and ungraded feedback on learner progress; rich and engaging learning activities; some sort of summative assessment of student learning that is tied to the stated objectives; and all resources and related artifacts (or links to borrowed works) related to each specific lesson plan.
