Earning Criteria

• Must be an employee of IBM.
• Communication - Clearly and consistently communicate internally with team members and externally with clients.
• Teaming Effectiveness - Identify the skill required and engage related teams and experts. Participate in swarming to learn from the experts.
• Negotiation - Negotiated to establish alliances and agreements that created value and resulted in equitable solutions for the parties involved. Escalated issues requiring higher authority for resolution or pull in experts in negotiation.
• Understanding Business Aspects - Demonstrated understanding of the stakeholders' business needs and how they relate to your specialty.
• Develop Solutions - Work routine issues for area of specialty with little assistance. Effectively use tools. Created the structures of a solution with the help of experts that was validated to meet one or more business or technical requirements.
• Understanding Projects - Participate in a project. Take ownership of one or more element of the project. Provide ideas, status updates to stack holders, feedback on progress, blocker and exceptions, communicated results, etc. Apply lesson learned to other future projects.
• Understanding Architecture - Demonstrated understanding of the relationship of the personal contribution to the enterprise or project architecture. Engaged mentor, as needed, to clarify the relationship between personal contribution and the architecture.
• Technical Directions - Help plan the work, be a part of team to perform the work and to complete a scope of work.
• Asset Reuse - Reused assets, objects and materials, when possible. Chose the most appropriate asset for reuse, help improve reused assets.
• Client Management - Advocate for the client with the current problem. Manage customer expectations on next steps in current issue. Gather information on environment, business impact and history of the problem. Execute on best practices set by experts to handle client relationship. Bring forward client feedback and advocate the client use case to request defects.
• Mentoring & Coaching - Engaged in a meaningful mentoring or coaching relationship either as a protege or mentor.
• Feedback - Using an innovative mindset to provide feedback or drive improvements. E.g. provided direct feedback based on your experiences and innovative perspective. or received feedback and how you incorporated it and innovated as a result.
• Specialty Specific Capabilities - Candidate must demonstrate their application of the skills and experience required in four specialty specific capabilities from their chosen specialty.
