Fieldwork Educator Certificate
An occupational therapy fieldwork educator possesses knowledge, supervision skills, and the ability to role model behaviors that are critical to the success of OT and OTA students and to the future of occupational therapy. This badge signifies advanced skills in this area including a deeper understanding of the fieldwork educator role, and knowledge of strategies to integrate learning theories and supervision models to provide high-quality educational opportunities during fieldwork experiences.
What it takes to earn this badge
Participation in a face to face continuing education course that takes place over 2 days (15 hours). Participants engage in four curricular modules that include: administration, education, supervision, and evaluation. In addition, participants engage in an analysis of strategies to support best practice in fieldwork education.
