Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) Certificate
AMT Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) Certificate Course validates a healthcare professional’s skills and knowledge necessary to provide quality point-of-care testing. The individual will know and understand the benefits of POCT and the regulatory requirements associated with POCT. This individual has knowledge of POCT quality control processes, as well as the skills to best select the appropriate instrumentation and the proper validation processes needed to use that instrument for testing.Additional Details
Must be a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Certified Medical Laboratory Assistant (CMLA), Medical Assistant (MA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Nurse or another allied health professional
Must pass the Point-of-Care Testing Certificate Course Final Assessment
Complete the eight self-paced modules in this course and pass the quizzes associated with each lesson. All lessons and quizzes must be completed before the final assessment can be taken. The 100-question final assessment is found in module nine of the course. There is only one attempt allowed for the final assessment. The certificate/badge is valid for two years from the date of passing the final assessment.
