Earning Criteria

  • Candidate must possess a current license to operate a motor vehicle. 
  • Have Fire Fighter 1, NFPA 1001 Certification (IFSAC and/or ProBoard). 
  • Have Driver Operator – Aerial Device, NFPA 1002 Certification (IFSAC and/or ProBoard).  NOTE: This can happen at the same time if the aerial device is a tiller. 
  • Complete Basic Apparatus Preventive Maintenance training in accordance with NFPA 1002. 
  • Complete Driver Operator – Aerial/Tiller Apparatus training in accordance with NFPA 1002. 
  • Successfully complete the Professional Certification assessment examination.
