Through a written and multiple-choice open book assessment, this learner demonstrated their understanding of the responsibilities in carrying out the Medical Gases Authorised Person role. They demonstrated knowledge of engineering tests relevant to the commissioning and refurbishing of MGPS, safety procedures and potential hazards, the principles and algorithms in current guidance to the design of MPGS, design load calculations, compliance with current standards and operational checks for MGPS

Through a practical workbook assessment, this learner demonstrated their skills in the operation of the Permit to Work system on a live MGPS, carrying out design load and pipe sizing calculations, assessing MGPS for compliance with current standards and carrying out operational checks as required in the Authorised Person role
