Earning Criteria
-
After learning about and discussing the history and importance of privacy, participants consider a real-world process in their institutional roles. Participants document the data life cycle for personal information involved in the process. They consider appropriate privacy controls and safeguards for the stated process and tie that process to their institution’s mission and values. Finally, participants create a basic outline of a privacy notice for their chosen process.
