Earners explore the way history and theoretical concepts surrounding human rights and equity have been integrated into public health practice, in peace and conflict, including through community engagement and advocacy, relationship building, and community mobilisation. Earners are public health practitioners capable of putting human rights and universal values such as diversity, inclusion, and empathy front and centre of their strategies, ensuring their advocacy makes positive social change.

Earners have explained the global and regional human rights system, key stakeholders, treaties, covenants and processes.

Earners have critically analysed the underlying principles and theoretical approaches to equity and human rights in the context of global health, including peace and conflict and violations of human rights.

Earners have interpreted those elements of the human rights system relevant to health and wellbeing.

Earners have reflected on and synthesise the concepts and processes underlying rights-based approaches to public health and their use and evaluation in policy and practice in order to design a rights-based strategy.
