Teaching for Learning - Teaching Using Active Learning

Earners of the Teaching for Learning – Teaching using Active Learning badge will have facilitated a teaching session. Earners will have acquired a knowledge of evidence-based teaching strategies that are designed to enhance students’ engagement in learning; apply active learning strategies to a teaching session. Twenty minutes of the session is to be recorded.

Earning Criteria

Completion of the 3 hour face-to-face Teaching using Active Learning workshop or equivalent Online Module.
Earners will be required to submit a 20 minute recording of one of their teaching sessions to demonstrate their application of active, authentic and/or collaborative learning strategies to promote student engagement in learning. The recording should be of at least 20 minutes in duration and will demonstrate that the participant has the capability to implement active learning strategies into their teaching practice.
