Earners of this designation have demonstrated the ability to identify the functional impairments of clients experiencing low vision. Earners can list the five most common eye diseases and their symptoms, recognize the definition of low vision, and the subsequent implications on a patient's ability to perform ADLS/IADLs, mobility, and balance. Earners are able to recommend appropriate environmental modifications and able to locate resources.
