Changing Diet-Related Behaviors Course (v.01)

Part of the Wellness Counseling Certificate, this course will provide a better understanding of the concept of change, and assist healthcare and human services professionals in the planning of practical strategies for clients to utilize in changing diet-related behaviors.The principles of motivational interviewing, an evidence-based interviewing style that facilitates patient-driven behavior change, will be covered.

  • Utilize motivational interviewing skills to complement (not replace) the communication skills already refined as a health care professional.
