Lasers in Dentistry Course (v.01)

Prepare the dental hygienist to use diode lasers safely & effectively to treat periodontal disease in dental patients with Laser Bacterial Reduction & Laser Assisted Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy. Laser history, basic laser safety, physics, clinical applications & procedures in the dental office. Students will apply dental laser soft tissue procedures on a porcine jaw in a lab setting, & learn safety guidelines for performing the role of Laser Safety Officer in a dental office setting.
