The Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow® or LUTCF® Professional Designation

Individuals that hold the LUTCF® (legacy) designation have completed a program of study that included multiple courses focused on ethics, personal life insurance, business life insurance, and other insurance products and professional business practices. Additionally, LUTCF designees must pass examinations at the end of each course that test their understanding of the various insurance topics.

What it takes to earn this badge

  • Students study a series of educational manuals and attend multiple courses in order to prepare for end of course examinations. Students must pass each of the examinations in order to obtain the designation. LUTCF (legacy) designees have been awarded the right to use the LUTCF designation by the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).
