Standards
The NASSP Digital Principal of the Year Program reflects best practices and is aligned with the Building Ranks framework, International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) standards, and the National Policy Board for Educational Administration’s Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (PSEL) standards.
ISTE Standards are a framework for innovation in education. These standards target the knowledge and behaviors required for leaders to empower teachers and make student learning possible.
Building Ranks is a practice-based framework developed by NASSP that is rooted in the two domains of Building Culture and Leading Learning. These two essential domains of school leadership each have discrete dimensions that enable school leaders to support and lead the adults who prepare and nurture students.
