Earning Criteria

• Achieve at least 80% of the assessment criteria in the Fundamentals of Online Teaching Course to receive this badge.
• Understand and apply Backward Design to plan assessments and activities in one of their own course
• Write or modify their own courses’ learning outcomes to meet the SMART format
• Understand the principle of Alternative Assessment to evaluate part of their courses
• Design class materials and activities that are interactive by using the concepts of social presence and online interactions and web 2.0 tools
• Develop a model rubric tailored to one of the redesigned assessments in one of their courses to use it for grading and student feedback.
• Understand the concepts of social presence and online interactions
