Need Analysis Training
Earners of this badge have developed a foundational knowledge of federal need analysis. Participants exit the virtual training with a general understanding of cost of attendance and its relationships to federal student aid, the federal methodology for need analysis, the verification process as it relates to federal student aid, what professional judgment is and how it is applied, and how financial aid is packaged and students are notified of their financial aid.

Full participation in the Postsecondary National Policy Institute’s virtual Need Analysis Training. Faculty include issue experts, practitioners, and former legislative/executive branch staff. Topics include: cost of attendance, federal methodology, verification, professional judgement, and packaging and notification.
