Public Speaking
The Public Speaking credential is awarded to earners who successfully complete modules in audience analysis, ethics and public speaking, informative speeches, introductions and conclusions in public speaking, listening in public speaking, persuasive speeches, speaking with confidence, special occasion speeches, speech delivery, and supporting your ideas in public speaking. This credential offers a pathway to 3 credit hours, upon acceptance and enrollment at SIUE.

Earning Criteria

Earners completed a series of quizzes and assignments. They have read textbook material, watched informational videos, and critiqued and analyzed speeches. They have taken a midterm assessment and a final assessment. Finally, they have delivered informative, persuasive, and special occasion speeches. All assessments required an 80% or higher total score.
