The Employment Law for Professionals credential signifies the completion of the requirements of St. Cloud State University's Professional and Continuing Education's human resources series. This credential holder completed the two-part HR series in addition to passing course level assessments and meeting all of the requirements of the course. The Employment Law for Professionals credential pairs along side six (6) SHRM certification credit hours.

Completed coursework and assessments in the following areas: Legal updates surrounding drug and alcohol testing and recreational marijuana in the workplace; Minnesota's new Earned Sick and Safe Leave Law (ESSL); Mental health in the workplace; and Family Medical Leave Act and Americans with Disabilities Act.

Engaged in professional learning experiences in topics surrounding: Customer Service Training; Effective Selling Skills; Human Resource Management Essentials; and Training Tips for the Occasional Trainer.

Professional work experience in a related field or industry.
Standards
This program has been approved for six (6) re-certification credit hours through the Society of Human Resource Management for Professional Development Credit.
