Earning Criteria

Verified employment as a Municipal Clerk, Deputy Clerk, Treasurer, Finance Officer or involved with the duties of one or more of these positions.
Membership in the Municipal Clerks and Finance Officers Association of Minnesota (MCFOA MN) for at least three (3) years.
Established practice, leadership, and upholding of the MCFOA Code of Ethics.
Verified attainment of 50 educational points outlined in Category I within the Minnesota Municipal Clerk application and requirements.
Verified attainment of 25 experience points outlined in Category II within the Minnesota Municipal Clerk application and requirements.

Municipal Clerks and Finance Officers Association

The MCFOA provides members with the opportunity to obtain designation as a Minnesota Certified Municipal Clerk (MCMC) and a Minnesota Master Municipal Clerk (MMMC).
