Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to study the structure and reactions of organic substances and compounds. Students will study alcohols, ethers, oxidation, reduction, benzene and aromatic compounds and their reactions, carbonyl chemistry, organometallic reagents, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, nitriles, and amines.
