This exam is designed to measure examinees' knowledge in U.S. History up to and including Reconstruction. The knowledge and skills measured are consistent with those typically taught in intermediate-level college courses and are consistent with college-level difficulty and complexity. The assessment reflects a balance between the topical/ chronological information and critical/analytic skills essential to an understanding of U.S. History. Credit is recommended for scores of 70 percent and above.
