The Inclusive Launch Foundry micro-credential is designed to help students from diverse backgrounds develop and refine business ideas through workshops, coaching and industry engagement. Through a series of workshops, students learned about market research, customer validation, pitch deck generation and other topics. Learners had opportunities to practice presenting ideas, receive advice on pitching projects from venture coaches, and networked with like-minded students and local entrepreneurs.

Earning Criteria

Successfully complete: the 14-week course; required workshops and network events; a pitch deck; a reflection presentation about their internship with a local entrepreneur or a data visualization if they participated in the library project; and a completed business model canvas followed by a presentation of their business idea through the final program pitch competition. Additionally, graduate students evaluated the final pitches of undergraduates and provided constructive feedback.
