They submitted two texts ranked as Outstanding on the UCCS Writing Rubric and one ranked as Outstanding on the UCCS Information Literacy rubric. On average, approximately 20% of UCCS graduating seniors are scored at the Outstanding level.

Writing at the Outstanding level is clear and well-organized, shows strong critical thinking, and shows control of language and punctuation. Writing at this level also effectively uses outside sources and attributes source material accurately. Outstanding writers leverage these abilities to enhance the overall and effectiveness of the writing task. The badge is awarded upon achievement of Outstanding for the Final Portfolio Grade.
