Earners of the Diversity Advocate badge have completed a semester long highly interactive online course. They gained knowledge, awareness, and communication skills for providing leadership around diversity and inclusion issues; working more effectively with people from different backgrounds; and for making UMSL more welcoming and inclusive for everyone. Participants have demonstrated applied learning of course concepts through implementation and reflection essays.

To earn the Diversity & Inclusion Foundations Badge, participants must complete the following 8 modules: o Module 1: Creating a Learning Community o Module 2 – Introduction to Diversity o Module 3 – Diversity on Campus Module 4 – Introduction to Unconscious Bias Module 5 – Introduction to Microaggressions Module 6 – Introduction to Privilege Module 7 – Introduction to Cultural Competence Module 8 – Building Blocks for Inclusion
