Invisible No More: Learning About Indigenous Culture

The main focus is to educate people about the invisibility that Native Americans face that often goes unnoticed by the public. We educate people about Native Americans and their cultures to lessen the perpetuation of stereotypes, racist ideas, and targeted violence.
Earning Criteria

Participants will identify Indigenous cultural values and beliefs which may differ from their own.

Participants will identify not knowing about Indigenous culture and will become more comfortable with engaging in conversation with Indigenous individuals.

Be able to make connections between an Indigenous lesson story and one’s own life experiences.

Be aware of the rate of targeted violence against Indigenous people.
