In this workshop, participants explore the idea and practice of "resting to rise" for academics. They are introduced to yoga nidra - what it is, what it does, its relevance to faculty, and, most importantly, how to try it and even fit it in to their already-full schedule. Jenny Reichart, Faculty Development Specialist and Academic Coach will facilitate this session as part of the Faculty Summer Self-Care Series.

  • The badge earner attended this one-hour self-care session on the importance of rest in an academic life and how to recharge more using the technique of yoga nidra.
  • The badge earner left the workshop with access to a free NCFDD recording, and a plan for weaving it into their life in support of their writing goals and other meaningful projects.
